Halsey SLAMS Online Trolls Who Bash Her Natural Curls

But this wasn’t just another bathroom selfie. Halsey (who is biracial) proudly showed of her natural hair for the first time ever. She captioned the selfie, “new growth, new growth; all these fades I outgrew.” We clearly see that Halsey’s natural hair features luscious dark curls formed into an impressive afro. You would think fans would welcome this treat and praise her hair journey, but that’s not actually what went down. Fans trolled her hair photo, saying it looked like a wig. Others compared her hair to Annie. Halsey quickly slammed the haters tweeting, “i can’t believe I spent a whole damn year growing out my curls under those wigs for y’all to say my natural hair looks like a wig...some f*cked up shit lmao.” Halsey also responded to fan who asked why her hair wasn’t curlier than this. Halsey explained her hair journey hasn’t been an easy one writing, “Still trying to get everything healthy again. I was blonde a few months ago and an inexperienced colorist fried my head. It’s a journey but I reaaaaaaallly don’t wanna have to chop again.” But let’s not get it twisted, not all fans reacted this way. Some fans praised her natural hair. Halsey retweeted a fan that wrote, “LIVING for your natural hair.” Halsey ended this back and forth with the ultimate clap back. She posted this throwback baby photo showing off her natural curls and wrote, “Stay mad”. Last year Halsey opened up to Playboy about growing up with a white mom and a black dad. She said quote, “I look like a white girl, but I don’t feel like one. I’m a black woman.” Halsey went on to say she’s proud to be in a biracial family, and proud of her hair.
